EditVideoOnline edits videos entirely in your browser. Your videos are never uploaded to a server — the file is opened locally, processed locally with your browser’s media engine, and the export is saved locally.
There are no accounts and no sign-up, so we don’t collect names, email addresses or passwords.
Analytics. The site uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages get used. It records things like the page you are on, the referring link, approximate location from your IP address, and your browser and device type, and it sets first-party cookies (_ga and one named for the property) to recognise a returning browser. Google processes that data as our processor.
What analytics does not see: your videos, their filenames, their contents, their length, or anything you do inside the editor. Nothing about your media is ever sent anywhere, because there is no endpoint to send it to. You can block the tag with any content blocker and the editor works exactly the same.
What is stored on your device, so a refresh or an accidental close doesn’t lose your work: your current project — the clips, trims, text, audio and settings — along with the original media files you added, kept in this browser’s local storage. Small preferences like your theme and panel sizes are stored the same way. None of this reaches a server; clearing your browser’s site data removes all of it.
If what is collected ever changes, this page will describe it. Video content, filenames and editing activity will never be collected.
